Released on: February 6, 2008, 4:00 pm

Press Release Author: Salica Cars

Industry: Automotive

Press Release Summary: Salica Cars announce the Salica GT, a convertible, high
performance mid-engined sports car with a unique hard top roof design. The Salica GT
offers an evolutionary blend of technology, style, functionality and power, and
continues from where Noble and TVR left off. It is available in left and right hand
drive formats, as either a new build or as a conversion of a Noble M12, M400 or
Rossion Q1.

Press Release Body: The unique roof design allows the car to be both a convertible
and a hardtop. The one piece, lightweight roof is easily removed and stowed under
the rear clam in seconds.

As a sequel to the Noble, the car offers a number of significant improvements. The
revised body styling enhances the cars visual appearance and offers additional
aerodynamic improvements. A revised intercooler design provides for lower inlet
charge temperatures and greater power. The new radiator layout allows for a generous
luggage compartment under the front clam.

The interior has been completely redesigned. The handbrake has been lowered to a
less obtrusive position, the centre console now houses the radio, heater controls
and starter button, whilst the driver\'s dashboard contains all of the important
instruments, in an easy to read layout. The electronic fuses and relays are now more
accessible and located under a cowl on the passenger side. The ECU and engine side
relays and fuses can be optionally relocated to within the passenger compartment.
Trim levels are tailored to suit your needs and can range from the sumptuousness of
leather and carpet to the stripped out, race look of alcantara and carbon fibre.

In new build form, the race inspired design of the super stiff, three part chassis
allows for ease of component change and maintenance. The 3 litre, V6 twin turbo,
460bhp engine is longitudinally mounted and dry sumped with a 6 speed transaxle
gearbox. Acceleration times for 0-60 mph of 3.3 seconds and 0-100 mph of 7.9 seconds
are expected. The dry weight of the vehicle will be 1000 kilos (2204 lbs).
For those situations where a little driver assistance is required, optional traction
control and ABS systems are available.

Salica Cars\' approach to providing the customer with a car that fits their needs is
to dispense with the conventional optional extras list. Instead a discussion with
the customer allows their wishes to be incorporated into the final delivered car.
This extends to areas such as choosing an exterior finish, specifying an interior
trim, selecting a suitable level of engine performance, opting for an appropriate
suspension setup and choosing the correct disc rotor and brake pad compound. This
approach to looking after the customer\'s needs is called, bespoke motoring.

The price for the conversion of an existing Noble starts at 17,500 and a new Salica
GT can be bought for 55,000. These prices exclude VAT.

A public viewing of the car is planned for April in Bristol, England. For further
